Temple House is located in the heart of Patan Durbar Square under the preservation of UNESCO world heritage site. Temple House is just behind Krishna Temple. Twenty three years ago, we started Café Du Temple, a specialty restaurant in Patan Durbar Square and Bouddhanath. The private balcony is available in selected rooms. Majestic Himalayan range is seen from our roof top cafe. Laundry service and doctor on call is also available. To add pleasure to your senses, Temple House serves a variety of great food. We promise a tranquil stay at Temple House at the royal playground of Patan Durbar Square together with the next door access to our own Cafe Du Temple restaurant, lively local market, souvenir shopping and eateries. Our hotel is 20 minutes drive away from the airport.
The history of the Durbar Square is not clear. Although the Malla Kings of Lalitpur are given credit for establishing the royal square, it is known that the site is an ancient crossroad. The Pradhanas who settled around the site before the Mallas have connections with the Durbar Square. Some chronicles hint that the history of patan Thakuri Dynasty built a palace and made reforms to the locality but the evidence is minute.

So near to all places of interest. The hosts at the lovely temple house couldn't be more accommodating and welcoming. They also have a temple house restaurant only 2 minutes away. After staying here we would never go back to staying in Thamel . The comfort and cleanliness were excellent. Having been to Nepal for the eighth time this was our best experience yet.
